Mental Training - Mental Skills - FAQ
Q. What is mental skills training?
A. We consider mental skills training to be the identification of 12 core areas such as self
confidence, concentration, emotional control and intensity etc for the person, and to show them strategies how to
train in them and to ensure that they help the person improve their performance.
Q. Does mental training mean there is something wrong with
me?
A. Absolutely not, it means that you are an enlightened individual who is dedicated to perform each and every day
at a better level.
Q. Will it help me cope better with stress?
A. Yes our intensity core module deals with the relationship between arousal and anxiety and helps you to identify
what stress is, what the stressors are and how to comfortably cope with them.
Q. Is mental training easy to implement?
A. Like all training you get the rewards from the effort that you put in. The first stage is to identify what the
core areas are and how each impact on performance. The second stage is to identify any areas that you are weak in
and create interventions and strategies that will improve those areas. Thirdly, the realisation that even areas
that you are good in can be enhanced even more on a continual basis for your profession or personal life.
Q. How do you deliver mental skills training?
A. There are a number of methods depending on who you are, where you are and what you are trying to achieve. For
instance on this page you can see that we offer introduction workshops which highlight the 12 core areas and how
they impact on peak performance. There is also a link to our online training which is suitable for any person of
any status and any location to work on and train in their mental skills on a demand basis
24/7/365. The system works from any computer whether at work or at home. We also offer executive coaching which is
a system of one on one coaching, training and development towards superior performance where we work together at a
location of your choice with me.
Q. What are your 12 core areas?
A. Mental toughness, goal setting, motivation, intensity, concentration, professional attitude, positive thought
control, self-confidence, psychological preparation, emotional control, team cohesion & dynamics and mental
rehearsal.
Q. Isn’t mental training expensive?
A. Absolutely not. Firstly, we have packages to suit all budgets and secondly, the returns that you will receive
will outweigh the costs a thousand times.
Q. How will mental skills training affect me?
A. You will notice the ability to stimulate your motivations in life and to be thoroughly prepared and ready for
any eventuality that you will come across. You will be more confident, relaxed, concentrated and generally mentally
tougher. This allows you to turn around situations; deal with pressure points; endure prolonged periods of stress
and take the correct calculated risk at the right time to achieve success.
Q. Can anybody benefit from mental training?
A. Yes as we are focused on performance whether it is in sports, business or professional life. We have worked with
young people, teenagers, young adults and other adults with no age limit. They are social engagers, amateur, semi
professional, professional and elite performers. We have worked in the entertainment industry and within many
sectors in the business world. Everyone has the same mental skills set it is just that some use them and some do
not.
